ACUTHERM 3220 is a concentrated “phosphate cycle” scale inhibitor, polymeric dispersant and sludge conditioner for steam boilers. It is designed for use in all types of steam boilers operating at pressures up to 850 psig where feedwater hardness does not exceed 10 ppm.

• ACUTHERM 3220 is proprietary “phosphate cycle” scale inhibitor for boilers. It is very effective in controlling calcium carbonate scale, as well as its dispersion of iron and other foulants. ACUTHERM 3220 is a proprietary blend of complex phosphates, polymeric scale inhibitors, dispersants, and sludge conditioners in a single easily applied product. ACUTHERM 3220 is acceptable for treating boilers, steam lines, and/or cooling systems where neither the treated water nor the steam produced may contact edible products in official establishments operating under the Federal meat, poultry, shell egg grading, and egg products inspection programs.

ACURO's powdered sulfamic acid blend with Corrosion Inhibitor for Sulphamic Acid and wetting agents designed for cleaning heat transfer surfaces. ACUROCOR DP is a specially formulated Corrosion Inhibitor for Glycol additives designed to prevent corrosion in multi-ways. It treats the surfaces of the metal making them less susceptible to corrosion. It buffers the organic acids formed as a result of glycol oxidation. Inhibited glycol based heat transfer fluids provides corrosion protection without reducing system’s heat transfer efficiency.Glycol oxidizes when exposed to air and heat. When this occurs, organic acids are formed. If not properly inhibited, this fluid is very corrosive. AcuroCor DP is added to Glycol to act as buffers, preventing low pH attack on the system metals. AcuroCor DP also passivates the metal surfaces protecting them from corrosion.

Description:

• The inhibition effect of citric acid on the corrosion behaviour of aluminium in 2M NaCl solution (pH 2) was studied with the help of potentiodynamic polarisation, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and linear polarisation resistance (LPR) techniques.
• The experimental results showed that citric acid inhibits the corrosion of aluminium in NaCl solution and the inhibition efficiency depends on its concentration. The protection efficiency increases with citric acid concentration up to a critical value of 1·0 × 10−5M.
• At higher concentrations, the inhibition efficiency reduced again with increasing concentration.
• The mechanism of inhibition was attributed to the adsorption of citric acid onto the metal surface.
